Early Bass & Bluegill to Peabody WMA - Peabody WMA is an old strip mining property in Western Kentucky that was converted into a wildlife management area many years ago.  It has numerous small lakes and ponds that are stocked with bluegill, bass, & other species that are open to the public. Additionally, Kentucky's state record bluegill was caught in the same general area of the state as Peabody. We'll do the 3 hour drive Thursday AM and fish Thursday PM, Friday, and Saturday & return late that evening.  Depending on weather conditions we'll either camp or hotel it in Beaver Dam, Ky. Jim Blasdel will coordinate this trip and Jim Wilmoth will come along on the trip to join us and offer up some expertise.   Cost: $15 WMA permit plus gas (shared), lodging (shared), & food.  Contact Jim Blasdel for more info (689-2124 evenings).
